IELTS Experience & Guideline

Hello everyone, I would like to share one of the IELTS exam experiences. Hope everybody will be benefited by reading it out.

Preparation Duration- ALMOST 40 Days

Exam Date- 03 December-2016

Exam Centre- IDP, Chittagong 

Score- Band score 7

Reading- 6.5

Listening- 8

Writing- 6.5

Speaking-7,

Study Materials- Pundit IELTS reading sections, Cambridge official book, practice plus and Cambridge IELTS book series (1-11).

Guidelines- Firstly, I had completed Cambridge official book and Pundit IELTS reading sections. Then, for test, I followed both the practice plus and Cambridge IELTS book series (1-11).

I bet if anyone follow this guideline, she or he will get minimum 7.

Way to practice listening :

•  Just give the test

• Listen whole test pointing the typescript ( Normally found backside of the book).

• Give the test again and try to catch whole script.

• Finding out on which words you have problem to understand and note it down in separate place.

(NB: it will may feel boring to give 100 minutes for a single test, but trust me it's fruitful)

Overall Suggestions:

• First try to capture the basic and general guidelines to approach every section of all modules.
• Try to improve your skill in every module by practicing from Cambridge books. Do not ignore your weakness.  
• First finish book 5 to 8. Then finish book 1-4 (depends on your time). Keep book 9 to practice just few days before your exam. As it’s the latest book. You will be familiar with current question types. 
• Target for at least band 7 in every section. 
• If you have good foundation in English and you are confident about that you can skip attending coaching centers. But if you are weak in English or don’t have enough confidence you can join coaching center. 
• Take the time to develop and improve your skills in every section. Do not hurry. Also do not waste a lot of time. Practice enough to do good result. 
• Give some full model tests. It will increase your endurance and ace your performance in real exam.
